Meet Jane

Hi, I'm Jane - I'm a Certified Sports Life Coach and Chief Wellbeing Officer. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor, a mother to 3 sons, and a lover of books and the outdoors.

It's an amazing feeling when someone says to me, "You have found your purpose." Because I agree!

My journey to becoming a Sports Life Coach and Chief Wellbeing Officer was by way of some big life events. My professional career up to that point had been quite varied, ranging from advertising and sales, sales management, consulting, business ownership, and business development in a variety of B2B industries: radio, hospitality, construction, and commercial/residential real estate. I also spent several years as a "stay-at-home" mom.

The consistent thread throughout my career has been the desire to help others and to foster and build relationships. (I discovered, that 4 out of my 5 top Clifton Strengths are in the Relationship category - shocker.) Life coaching created an opportunity for me to do what I love naturally and more holistically by focusing on the whole person in all dimensions of their life.

Where I am today is the direct result of continuous, rigorous, and joyful training in my personal life as well as professionally as a Sports Life Coach. I will be forever grateful to my Coach who helped get me here. I didn't think about it at the time but have since found that life’s changes and adversity parallel sports beautifully, especially the dynamics of the athlete and the coach. In sports, there’s training, there’s pain, there’s sacrifice, there’s highs and lows, there’s perseverance and performance, there's hi-fives and hugs. Doesn’t that sound a lot like life? If an athlete can have a coach, a trainer, and a wellness staff guiding, shaping, and pushing them toward optimal performance and growth with various tools and strategies, then why can’t the professional, the corporate team, the mom, the wife, or the teen, have a Life Coach do the same for them?

Training for my life, just as intentionally as athletes train for sport, gave me the new thinking to practice and develop the skills I needed to transform my life and become a champion for myself: personally, professionally, and philanthropically.

I have taken these skills, and the dynamics of sports, along with my training as a yoga instructor in mindfulness techniques, and integrated it in a holistic way to achieve transformational growth for performance and wellbeing. I share this with other high achievers who want to do the same, who want to transform and become champions of their lives.

As your coach, my goal is simple: equip you to lead a 10-level life, with as many Peak Moments as possible.

A Peak Moment is a transformative experience in the journey to a more fulfilling and successful life. These moments can be big milestones, like landing your dream job or achieving a significant goal, but they can also be small, everyday victories like making progress on a personal project, deepening a meaningful relationship, or simply feeling content and at peace. I want you to envision numerous Peaks ahead and approach each one with courage, wisdom and love.

My Approach

My coaching approach is focused on cultivating a GROWTH mindset amidst life's myriad of peaks and valleys, wins and losses. Embracing challenges, acknowledging personal truths, and equipping yourself with the confidence and tools empower you to ascend as many peaks as possible while moving through, and learning from the losses.

Grounding and Goals

“Who are you?” Grounding is a tool that connects us to ourselves internally. Mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork are strategies that stir up that inner knowing, clear space, and create the calm needed to start identifying and working towards our goals.

Reflection

Replaying the past doesn't usually serve us. Reflection is a winning strategy because it gives us the ability to look back with a growth mindset. Through our reflections, we gain new perspectives, and learn, which leads to reframing, rethinking, and reinvention for growth.

Obstacles and Opportunities

Recognizing and acknowledging the obstacles hindering our performance and our ability to live a fulfilled life is a critical step to achieving growth. It’s not just about identifying the obstacles but finding the opportunity that motivates us to take action to achieve our goals and desired outcomes for a peak life.

Why? and Way Forward

There is always a way forward and it can be facilitated by going inward and asking Why? Why does this matter? Why is it important? Sitting with the questions in stillness allows us to listen to our internal voice, the compass that gives us insight and wisdom that can help us navigate a way forward. It is within the stillness that our internal voice is the loudest. And we must be open to listening.

Truth

Our life stories are powerful. Life can be messy, beautiful, ugly, joyful, and sad… and when we begin to understand our story, we can own our truth. The truth sets us free. Free to be our most authentic, vulnerable, imperfect, loveable selves. When we own our truths, we can choose how we want to change and grow, and we can share with others so they can better understand who we are and what we value.

Heart

Our heart serves as an anchor tethered by the roots of love.  Our hearts can harden and soften based on our lived experiences. Thus, our attitude is a direct reflection of our hearts. How we love ourselves is how we love others. To be anchored in the roots of love, we honor what matters most and embrace compassion and connection in all that we do – both toward ourselves, and toward others.

Life is shaped by the choices we make. Each day presents an opportunity to start anew and create a fresh narrative for our lives. This moment is an opportunity to create the life you desire. You have the potential to gain new perspectives, new skills, and a new beginning. Choose YOU!
